Senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Johnson Suleman, has sparked reactions online following his comments on leadership and governance in Nigeria.
In a statement that has since gone viral, the cleric criticised what he described as poor leadership, suggesting that prayer alone cannot address the consequences of bad governance.
“It’s a waste praying when you’ve elected a bad leader,” he said.
Apostle Suleman further condemned what he termed as insensitivity in handling national crises, particularly when lives are being lost.
“The height of insensitivity is when people are dying and you’re sending media to do damage control,” he added.
His remarks have generated mixed reactions across social media, with some Nigerians agreeing with his stance on accountability and leadership, while others argued that his comments were too blunt.
