Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus is celebrating Nigeria’s 65th anniversary.

The movie star, via her Instagram page, shared photos of herself at the Nigerian Embassy in the UK. She revealed that taking the picture at the embassy reminded her that no matter where we find ourselves, we carry Nigeria with us.

Eniola said anytime she sees our flag wave, whether in Lagos or London, it stirs something deep within her. She explained that the flag is more than colours, but a story of a people who fought for freedom, overcame trials, and continue to ride with resilience, hope, and pride.

She added that as Nigeria celebrates its independence, she reflects on how far they’ve come and the brighter future that lies ahead. She said the future is built on unity, courage, and the unshakable Nigerian spirit.

“Whether at home or abroad, the Nigerian spirit lives in us. Shooting this picture at the Nigerian Embassy in the UK reminded me that no matter where we find ourselves, we carry Nigeria with us.

Every time I see our flag wave – whether in Lagos or London – it stirs something deep within me. It’s more than colours, it’s the story of a people who fought for freedom, overcame trials, and continue to ride with resilience, hope, and pride.

Today, as we celebrate our independence, I reflect on how far we’ve come and the brighter future that lies ahead. A future built on unity, courage, and the unshakable Nigerian spirit.

Happy Independence Day to our beloved country, Nigeria. Happy 65th Independence Day”.
