Chelsea supporters can finally breathe a sigh of relief as they could have Liam Delap back in the squad sooner than expected.
The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed that Liam Delap is back is training and could be available for selection when Chelsea play Wolves in the Carabao Cup which could mark his first appearance since August. However, thr forward would not be available for the Premier League game against Sunderland on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
He said,
“Liam took part of the session yesterday with the team for the first time. He is not going to be available for tomorrow but probably for the next one [against Wolves].”
Delap’s return will be a timely boost for the Blues, who have struggled for consistency in front of goal this season. His pace, energy, and finishing ability could offer Maresca valuable attacking options as Chelsea push to climb the Premier League table heading into the busy winter period.
Chelsea fans will be eager to see whether the young forward can pick up where he left off before injury derailed his promising start to the campaign. The arrival of Delap will see Chelsea have options of Joao Pedro, Marc Guiu and Liam Delap.
