Manchester City legend, Yaya Toure believes that Pep Guardiola’s side could experience a slight drop in form during the 2023-2024 Premier League season.

Toure also compared Man City’s 2023/2024 campaign to that of Barcelona’s treble winning 2009 side, of which he was a part of the team.

Man City had the best campaign in their history as they won the treble during the 2022/2023 season.

The Citizens won the Premier League title ahead of Arsenal, won Inter Milan in the Champions League final and defeated Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

“We won everything and then we had a bit of a downfall. But that is normal for human beings, you have to have the right motivation. Sometimes it is the leader, the head coach.

“We tried to put the same commitment and desire in again, because it’s not easy to repeat. It’ll be difficult but [Manchester] City already has the experience of winning the [Premier] league year-after-year,” Toure told Daily Mail.
