Nottingham Forest head coach Sean Dyche has provided an injury update on defender Ola Aina, DAILY POST reports.
Aina sustained a hamstring injury while on international duty with Nigeria in September.
The full-back underwent surgery few days after copping the injury, and was expected to return to action this month.
Dyche has however said the 30-year-old won’t play again for the Tricky Trees until next year.
“The ones left not with us yet are Taiwo, Woody and Douglas – although they are getting closer. Ola is getting closer to fitness but obviously can’t be with us until January,” Dyche was quoted by the Nottingham Post.
Aina could also miss out of Nigeria’s squad to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The competition will get underway in Morocco on December 21.
