Manchester United are ready to make a sensational move for Chelsea forward, Christopher Nkunku, L’Equipe reports.

The Red Devils want to bolster their squad as the Ruben Amorim era begins this week.

Ahead of the November international break, United are sitting in 13th place.

The poor start saw the Premier League sack Erik ten Hag last month.

His replacement Amorim is scheduled to arrive in Manchester on Monday ahead of a two-week preparation period for his opening match at Ipswich on November 24.

And United are looking to tee Amorim up with some reinforcements to try to rescue a campaign, which looked to be flying off the rails.

It is believed Nkunku is unhappy with a lack of playing time under Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.

Nkunku has mostly been used in the UEFA Conference League, with Nicolas Jackson preferred for league games.
