Ex-Newcastle United striker, Alan Shearer, has claimed it is normal that Arsenal are nervous in the Premier League title race.
The Gunners barely scraped through a 2-1 win over Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday.
Shearer has admitted that Mikel Arteta’s men were not brilliant and relied on set-pieces.
But according to him, it is important they keep picking up the points and staying ahead of Manchester City.
“They found a way against Chelsea, they weren’t brilliant, but their set-pieces have done it for them again and there’s nothing wrong with that,” Shearer said on The Rest Is Football podcast.
“They’re going to be nervy, they’re going to be edgy because of the pressure that they’re under.
“They’re human, I’ve been there myself, and it’s a huge ask, it is tough mentally and physically. It drains you.”
