Arsenal on Sunday made three records after beating Chelsea 2-1 in the Premier League in Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal defeated the Blues at home, thanks to goals from William Saliba and Jurrien Timber.

However, according to OptaJoe, the win against Chelsea was the ninth time in the Premier League this season that Arsenal have scored a match-winning goal from a corner, now the outright most by a team in a single campaign.

This means that Mikel Arteta’s side has now overtaken Manchester United’s eight in the 2012-13 season.

Also, Arsenal’s 16 goals from corners in the Premier League this season are the joint-most by any team in a single campaign, alongside Oldham in 1992-93, West Brom in 2016-17, and the Gunners themselves in the 2023-24 season.

Finally, the victory against Chelsea means Arsenal have gone 1-0 up from a corner on nine occasions in the Premier League this season; the joint-most by a team in a single campaign, along with Southampton in 1994-95 (9).

Arsenal’s next game is against Brighton in the Premier League on Wednesday.
