Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed injury blows to Cristhian Mosquera and Declan Rice.

The Gunners beat Brentford 2-0 on Wednesday night, to restore their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

Mikel Merino and Bukayo Saka scored in either half, as Arteta’s men recorded a crucial win at the Emirates.

But the three points came at a cost, as Mosquera hobbled off in the first half and was replaced by Jurrien Timber.

Viktor Gyokeres also came on for Declan Rice in the second half.

“We lost Saliba, we lost big Gabby, today we lost Mosquera,” Arteta said.

“It’s been a challenge. Ben White was excellent today. Everyone that is given an opportunity is performing.

“We’ll know more tomorrow. They need to be tested. Declan had to come off…let’s see who is available.”
