Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has named the best defending and attacking teams.

The Spaniard spoke following his side’s 1-0 Premier League win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Mikel Merino’s first-half goal secured all three points for the Gunners against the Blues at the Emirates Stadium.

The victory means Arteta’s side are now 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table after 29 matches.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Arteta claimed that Arsenal are one of the best defensive teams in the world, while Chelsea are the best attacking side in the Premier League.

“In defending, we are one of the best teams in the world today. We were unbelievable,” Arteta said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“We conceded almost nothing apart from a strange save from David Raya.

“Big credit, because in my opinion, Chelsea are the best attacking team in the league.”

Arsenal’s next game is against Fulham on 1 April.
