Former Premier League star, Darren Bent has said Mauricio Pochetino is now the favourite to take the vacant position at Stamford.

Also speaking on Julian Naglesmamnn’s decision to pull out of the race to replace Graham Potter on a permanent basis, the former England star said the German did not like what he heard about the Blues.

“Clearly Julian Nagelsmann didn’t like what he heard, did he,” the former England striker said on talkSPORT.

“All roads are leading back to Mauricio Pochettino at the moment, aren’t they?” He added.

Chelsea is again in search of a permanent boss just seven months after hiring Graham Potter having sacked Thomas Tuchel back in November.

Pochettino, a former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain boss, is now the bookies’ favourite for the job, with odds slashed on the 51-year-old being the new Chelsea manager on the first day of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
