Carney Chukwuemeka has been nominated for Chelsea’s Player of the Month for August.
The Nigerian-born midfielder will battle five other players for the individual accolade.
Chukwuemeka opened his goal account for Chelsea in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium on matchday two.
The youngster wriggled through the home side’s defence before firing the ball inside the net.
Chukwuemeka is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
He is expected to return to action early next month.
