Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has said that Cole Palmer has been better than teammates Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez this season.

Bent said this while praising Palmer for his impressive performances since joining the Blues from Manchester City last summer.

Despite being one of the least expensive signings for the Premier League west London club, Palmer has contributed more in midfield than his high-profile teammates Caicedo and Fernandez, both of whom cost Chelsea over £100 million each.

According to Bent, the England star has been the standout performer, having scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions this season.

“That is a bargain, that he [Palmer] has been better than them (Caicedo and Fernandez),” Bent said via The Boot Room.

“Cole Palmer, probably out of them three, he can go, ‘Do you know what? I have done everything I can’.”
