Names of about five first-team players that could leave Chelsea this summer have been revealed.

As per a report in the Evening Standard, Mason Mount could reportedly lead a mass exodus at Chelsea at the end of the season.

N’Golo Kante, Conor Gallagher, Mateo Kovacic and Edouard Mendy are also stuck in contract talks, leaving their future at Stamford Bridge in the balance.

Chelsea are ready to let go of all the aforementioned players who have stalled contract talks at the west London club.

The new owners are keen to avoid the mistakes made by the old regime that saw the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave Chelsea on a free transfer to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.

Mount has been in contract talks for some time, but the England international is yet to agree on terms with Chelsea, while Kovacic will be entering the final year of his contract this summer and Chelsea are yet to open talks with the Croatia star.

Mendy has lost his starting spot to goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga since Graham Potter took over from Thomas Tuchel as manager, while Kante is in the final months of his current contract at Chelsea and he is reluctant to agree to a two-year deal on the table.

Finally, Gallagher came close to being sold in the January transfer window as Everton even tabled a £40 million bid for him, but the Blues chose to keep the midfielder and sold Jorginho to Arsenal instead.
