Former England striker, Gary Lineker, has said he is concerned about Arsenal creating few chances from open play as they battle Liverpool and Chelsea for the Premier League title.

The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday, as their title challenge suffered another blow.

It leaves Mikel Arteta’s men third in the table, two points behind Chelsea and six behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

Lineker has now said he is worried that Arsenal are becoming reliant on set-piece goals.

Arsenal have scored 23 goals from corners since the start of last season – more than any other team in Europe’s big five leagues.

“They really struggled to create much,” Lineker said on The Rest is Football podcast.

“Once again they looked really dangerous from set-pieces because their delivery is so good. The delivery is so good and so accurate that eventually an Arsenal player is going to win a header.

“My concern, a little bit, about Arsenal is they are not quite scoring goals without those set pieces. They did not create too many opportunities against Fulham.”
