The stage is set for the Premier League match of the weekend when Arsenal will host Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal head to the game following a 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest in their last Premier League game.

Man City, on the other hand, defeated Manchester United 3-0 in their last Premier League encounter.

The Gunners are currently in third position on the Premier League table with 9 points from four games.

The Cityzens, meanwhile, sit in 12th position with 6 points from four games.

A win for Arsenal will see them move to second position in the Premier League table behind leaders Liverpool.

A win for Man City will see them enter the Premier League top four behind Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could be without the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Ben White.

The trio will all undergo late fitness tests ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Man City.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola will be without the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Rayan Cherki and Omar Marmoush against Arsenal due to injury.

John Stones returned to first-team training on Wednesday and could make the match-day squad on Sunday evening after sitting out of the Champions League win against Napoli in mid-week.

However, Arteta will hope to overcome Man City at the Emirates Stadium to close the gap on Liverpool, while Guardiola will aim to plot the downfall of Arsenal in front of their home fans.

The kick-off time for the game is 4.30 p.m., Nigerian time.
