Former Chelsea star, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has hailed Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard, saying the Norwegian always has a solution.
Odegaard scored one of Arsenal’s three goals as they beat Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage on Sunday. The other scorers were the Brazil duo of Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli, while Leandro Trossard provided a hat-trick of assists.
Arsenal’s victory against their London rivals ensured that the Gunners reclaimed their five-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the table.
Odegaard’s strike on Sunday meant that the 24-year-old has now scored 10 goals and provided six assists in the league this season.
And Hasselbaink was full of praise for the former Real Madrid youngster, saying on Sky Sports, “He has always got a solution, you know.
“When he comes in a tight space he finds the right solution – and very calmly. He doesn’t have as many assists as De Bruyne because he’s not that kind of player.
“But the other things he is doing, he is doing them so elegantly and so good. It’s a pleasure to watch him.”
