Former Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere has said anyone who supports the club would want them to sign Declan Rice this summer, insisting the England international would be the ‘perfect fit’ for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal is currently leading the race to sign the midfielder from West Ham United this summer and the player is said to be eager to leave the east London outfit for a club competing in the Champions League next season.
The 24-year-old has also played alongside Wilshere during his two-year spell in east London.
“He’s a midfielder who can do anything,” Wilshere told the PA news agency.
“Anyone who supports any club would want Dec to join.
“I’m looking forward to wherever he goes. It would be a massive signing and a perfect fit.”
