Former Arsenal attacker, Emmanuel Adebayor has voiced his concerns regarding Wolves striker, Tolu Arokodare, suggesting that the player is currently struggling with confidence.
Adebayor said this while expressing his thoughts on Premier League Productions regarding Arokodare after the Nigerian international missed a penalty during Wolves’ 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
Late in the first half, the Nigeria international had a chance to equalize but sent a weak shot towards the bottom right corner, which was easily saved by Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson
When you find yourself in front of the defender, it’s either he fouls you or leaves you to finish the ball,” Adebayor said.
“Tolu [Arokodare] shows a lack of confidence and doesn’t know what he is doing. You cannot take a penalty like that in this kind of game.”
