Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reacted to the club’s latest signing, Mikel Merino.
Arteta said the 28-year-old midfielder will bring huge quality and make the Gunners’ squad stronger.
Arsenal signed Merino from Real Sociedad on Tuesday and the player will wear the number 23 shirt at Emirates Stadium.
“Mikel is a player who will bring us huge quality with his experience and versatility,” Arteta told Arsenal’s website.
“He has played at the top of the game at both club and international level for a number of seasons now.
“Mikel will make our squad significantly stronger, with his technical ability, together with his strong and positive character and personality.”
