Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire, has hailed the club’s summer signing, Senne Lammens following the young goalkeeper’s performances in the last two games.
However, the defender said he would not want to get too carried away on the goalkeeper’s talents.
The Belgian goalkeeper joined Manchester United from Royal Antwerp at the end of the summer transfer in an £18m deal.
He was the replacement for Andre Onana who had to leave the club having failed to live up to the expectations of Man United fans following his arrival from Inter Milan
Lammens was only making his second start for the Red Devils against Liverpool after he earned good reviews for his debut against Sunderland.
Maguire said he was impressed by his new teammate’s confidence occupying the hardest position for Manchester United.
NEWSUNPLUG reports that United beat Liverpool away at Anfield on Sunday, with Lammens standing in between the Red Devils’ sticks.
“I must say I am heavily impressed by Senne Lammens,” said Maguire
“I don’t want to get carried away because he is playing in the position with the most pressure, it’s the most difficult position at Manchester United. But he’s got everything. Great personality.”
Earlier on, Manchester United boss, Ruben Amorim had warned fans not to get over excited with Peter Schmeichel comparisons after the 2-0 win over Sunderland.
