AS Roma midfielder, Nemanja Matic, has given his verdict on potential incoming Chelsea new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea are close to appointing Pochettino as their next permanent manager.

Pochettino has been heavily linked with replacing caretaker manager Frank Lampard at the end of the season and the Argentine recently emerged as the front-runner for the job.

Speaking about Pochettino, Matic told Sky Sports that the former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain boss is a very honest person.

“He is a great manager,” Matic told Sky Sports.

“He showed at Spurs and PSG that he can play some great football. He has experience and I know he’s very professional and a very honest person, so why not?”
