Chelsea players were left shocked by the club’s decision to sack Graham Potter on Sunday.
The Blues released a statement confirming Potter’s exit following their 2-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.
It was their 11th in total under the former Brighton boss.
With the statement being released on social media, it came as something of a shock to a lot of observers, most of whom had expected the club to stick with Potter until at least the end of the season.
According to The Telegraph, the Chelsea stars were caught as unawares as everyone else.
They also found out as everyone else and called their agents.
Potter was only employed in September after Thomas Tuchel was dismissed.
