Former Manchester United striker, Michael Owen has slammed Joshua Zirkzee after the Red Devils’ Premier League 1-0 defeat to Everton on Monday.
Owen said he can’t watch the Dutch striker and get excited after Everton defeated Man United at Old Trafford.
Recall that Everton were reduced to 10 men in the first-half after Idrissa Gueye was sent off after slapping teammate Michael Keane.
The visitors went on to win the match, thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s only goal of the encounter.
However, Owen was not pleased with Zirkzee’s display against Everton.
“I can’t watch him and get excited, I must admit,” Owen told Premier League Productions.
“Cunha missing today was a big blow. He [Zirkzee] was the closest to scoring for Man Utd but they are almost resorting to playing like this with hopeful crosses because he is in there.”
