Former Liverpool man, Jamie Redknapp has said that he ‘feels sorry’ for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, noting that the Argentine looks ‘lost’.

The Argentina World Cup winner joined the Blues last summer for a British record of £106.8m from Benfica in January.

The Argentina international, who was a revelation at the 2022 World Cup, has played 20 games for the Blues since arriving in west London but has been unable to help turn the club’s fortunes around.

Redknapp singled out Fernandez during Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

“I’m looking at Enzo Fernandez right now, he looks a bit lost, I feel a bit sorry for him,” the former Premier League star told Sky Sports.

Last month, Wesley Sneijder hit out at Fernandez over his performance against Real Madrid, as Chelsea crashed out of the Champions League to the Spanish side.
