Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has criticized Ruben Amorim’s side, insisting that he wouldn’t trust the current players to get the Red Devils back competing for major titles.
Keane doesn’t believe Man United’s midfield and defensive players are good enough to play regularly every.
The Irishman spoke as Man United played a 1-1 draw with West Ham United in the Premier League on Thursday at Old Trafford.
“The attacking players have given United a bit of a boost this year; certainly, they are more of a goal threat,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
“But I would not sit here and hang my hat on these midfield and defensive players, that they are good enough to play regularly and do the business week-in, week-out for Man United.
“I would not trust these players to get Manchester United back up competing for the big prizes.”
Man United are in 8th position on the Premier League table with 22 points after 14 games.
