Chelsea legend John Terry said he is excited to be working with Dean Smith and Craig Shakespeare at his new club, Leicester City.

Terry was confirmed as part of Dean Smith’s coaching staff at Leicester City.

Leicester City had appointed Smith as their new manager on a deal until the end of this current campaign after sacking Brendan Rodgers.

Reacting, Terry, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Tuesday night, expressed gratitude for all the kind and “good luck” messages he received from fans and friends.

The former England defender also said that he had an excellent first day at training and meeting with all the Leicester players and staff.

Terry tweeted: “Thank you for all the kind & Good Luck messages @lcfc

“Excellent first day at training meeting all the players and staff.

“I’m absolutely buzzing to be working with Dean, Craig and this talented squad of players.”
