Former Chelsea star, Ruud Gullit, has told Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech that he should have left Stamford Bridge a long time ago.

Gullit said this while expressing his disappointment after Ziyech failed to leave Chelsea for Paris Saint-Germain on January transfer deadline day.

The Dutchman also claimed that Chelsea have ‘bullied’ Ziyech, adding that it was terrible for the Moroccan international.

Ziyech was poised to complete a loan move to PSG on transfer deadline day, having struggled for game time under Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

Despite travelling to Paris to complete the switch to PSG, the deal fell through as Chelsea focused their energy on signing Argentina World Cup winner, Enzo Fernandez for a club-record fee.

“This is not a mistake. It can’t be. If you get so many players and you do this two, three times… It can be bullying,” Gullit told Ziggo Sport.

“Ziyech could also have been annoying. You don’t know. He’ll have to fight for his place again. In the end, it was terrible for him.

“He should have left there a long time ago. The question is whether he would’ve played at Paris Saint-Germain. Then you end up in the same situation.”
