Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Jamie Redknapp, has said that Arsenal are the only outstanding team in the Premier League so far this season.

He, however, noted that Chelsea have the opportunity to finish in a great position in the league since every other team, including Manchester City and Liverpool, are struggling.

The former England midfielder stated this following last weekend’s fixtures that produced good results for Arsenal, who are six points ahead of second-placed Manchester City in the table after a 2-0 victory over Burnley.

Chelsea also beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp said,

“When I look at Chelsea, at least there’s a bit of excitement and flair.

“It was just too easy for Chelsea [to beat Tottenham].

“If we analyse the Premier League this year, there is just one outstanding side. Arsenal are head and shoulders above.

“The rest are struggling. No-one is finding that consistency and that is why it is up for grabs for Chelsea this season.

“They have confidence and there is an excitement about watching Chelsea.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool appear to have bounced back to winning ways as they defeated Aston Villa 2-0 on Saturday and returned to third place in the table, while Manchester City beat Bournemouth 3-1 to occupy the second spot, six points behind league leaders, Arsenal.

Chelsea and Tottenham are both in Champions League action in midweek, with the former visiting Qarabag and the latter hosting Copenhagen.
