Former Chelsea midfielder, Jody Morris believes Manchester City’s Rodri is the best midfielder in the Premier League.
Morris feels the Spain international is ahead of the likes of Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo and Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch.
Comparing Rodri, Caicedo, Rice and Gravenberch, Morris told Metro: “For me, that type of midfielder, I think Rodri was the pinnacle when he won the Ballon d’Or.
He has not quite hit those levels [since] because of injury. I think he is slightly different to Rice.
“At the end of last season, and this season, Rice plays more as a No.8. But I think he is right up there.
“I think Rice is a world-class player. I think Caicedo is a world-class player. Gravenberch, his levels last year, you have to say he had to be in the Team of the Year.”
