Manchester City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne, is close to breaking Arsenal legend Thierry Henry’s record for most assists (20) in an English Premier League, EPL, season.
De Bruyne has so far registered 16 assists for the current season.
With seven games to go to conclude this season, the Belgium international has a good chance of setting a new mark, surpassing Henry’s record of 20 assists in a Premier League campaign.
Henry reached the mark for Arsenal during the 2002-2003 season, where he scored 24 goals and provided 20 assists.
De Bruyne matched that assist tally in the 2019-2020 season and now looks to claim the record outright.
