Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has shared some sad news about the injury of their winger, Savinho.
This was following their draw with Sunderland in the Premier League on New Year day.
City and Sunderland ended the New Year with a goalless match, keeping the score at 0-0.
This result left them four points behind the Gunners, who are currently at the top of the league after winning their game against Aston Villa.
The Black Cats played a strong defense and got a deserved point on Thursday night because City did not take full advantage of their chances.
After the game, Guardiola spoke to reporters and said, “We had a lot of chances in the six-yard box, not easy ones, but we couldn’t convert them into goals.
“We created enough chances. We didn’t stick to our plan from the first half, but we played really well in the second half.
“The commitment, the desire, the first half was different. In the second half, there were two good chances created by Savinho, and also by Jeremy (Doku), Josko (Gvardiol), Phil (Foden), and Erling (Haaland).
“We had plenty, but unfortunately, we couldn’t make it happen. Savinho had to come off the field early in the second half at the Stadium of Light, and Guardiola said it didn’t look good.”
