The stage is set for the Premier League match of the weekend when Chelsea will host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea head to the game after beating Barcelona 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League in mid-week, while Arsenal also won 3-1 against Bayern Munich.

The Blues are currently in the third position on the Premier League table with 6 points behind leaders Arsenal.

A win for the Blues will see them move to second position in the Premier League table with three points behind leaders Arsenal.

A win for the Gunners will see them extend their lead in the Premier League table.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca had confirmed at his pre-match press conference that the playmaker Cole Palmer, who has not played since September 20 due to injury, is ready to feature against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is unlikely to have Viktor Gyökeres available for today’s game, while Kai Havertz will return at some point next month.

Gabriel Jesus is close to making his long-awaited comeback from a knee injury, while Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli recently returned from injury and were both on the scoresheet against Bayern Munich.

However, Leandro Trossard was forced off with a knock against Bayern Munich and is a doubt for today’s game.

The kick-off time for the game is 5.30 p.m., Nigerian time.
