Former Manchester City star, Micah Richards has shared his thoughts on Liverpool center-back, Virgil van Dijk.
Richards highlighted the tough position Van Dijk has been in throughout the current season due to the amount of different partners he has had to play alongside.
In a recent episode of the Rest Is Football podcast, the former defender said:
“Van Dijk’s performance has been exceptional, but he has faced constant changes in centre-half partners like Konate or Quansah, and this has been a daunting task for him.”
“He has had to maintain an almost flawless performance for much of the season,” Richards empathized.
Van Dijk has been impressive for Liverpool so far this season.
