Arsenal legend Paul Merson has made his top four prediction ahead of Manchester United’s game against Aston Villa.

According to the former Premier League star Newcastle and Man United have already secured their place in the Premier League top four.

Arsenal and Manchester City have officially made the top four in the Premier League, table this season after the last round of matches.

This means that there are still two more spaces up for grabs.

Newcastle are currently in third place while United occupy the fourth-place with both teams at least six points clear of Tottenham in fifth having played fewer games.

Aston Villa, Liverpool and Brighton all still vying for a coveted top four slot.

Merson told Sportskeeda: “Villa trail United by six points in the table. But Manchester United have two games in hand over them. Personally, I think United have booked a berth in the Champions League.

“Newcastle did go through a dip in form but have now won seven out of their last eight games. Southampton don’t stand a chance against this high-flying Newcastle team.”
