Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has predicted that Liam Rosenior won’t disappoint at Chelsea if he does get appointed as the new manager of the club.
Rooney worked with the Strasbourg coach during their time together at Derby County between 2021 and 2022.
Rosenior has emerged as the frontrunner to replace sacked Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking on the BBC’s Wayne Rooney Show, Rooney said of Rosenior: “He’s taken chances, and hopefully that pays off because I think Liam is as good a coach as I have ever worked with.
“Liam was so important to me. He was incredible in his coaching ability. If he goes in there, he won’t disappoint.
“He’s been waiting for an opportunity like this. If you don’t take it now, then you are never going to take it.”
