Manchester City legend, Sergio Aguero has given one reason Frank Lampard accepted to return to Chelsea at this trying time.

He said that Lampard, who returned to his former club as a Chelsea caretaker manager, did so because of the love he has for the Blues.

The Chelsea legend recorded his first victory for the Blues after six games in charge against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Lampard agreed to come back to Stamford Bridge following the sack of Graham Potter by the club’s owners and suffered six straight defeats.

But Aguero praised the Englishman for returning at a ‘tough moment’, saying his presence will be of great use to Blues midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

“If you ask me, this love is what propelled him to the helm of the club in this tough moment.

“Very few people can shed off the funk and give it all for their team. But I believe he can, and that’s something that should be admired, despite the results,” the Argentine said.
