The Opta SuperComputer has given Arsenal a 79% chance of winning the Premier League this season.

Mikel Arteta’s men go into the 2026 four points clear at the top of the table.

This follows their 4-1 demolition of Aston Villa, while Manchester City were held to a 0-0 draw at Sunderland on New Year’s Day.

Opta is now backing them to emerge champions for the first time in 22 years.

City’s chances have been reduced to 16.7% after they dropped points at the Stadium of Light.

Villa are still third favourites with a 4.1% possibility, as they sit six points off the top.
