Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has predicted the Gunners to challenge to win the Premier League title this season.

According to the Frenchman, Mikel Arteta’s side has the most complete squad in the Premier League ahead of Liverpool.

Arsenal are currently on top of the Premier League table ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool after beating Fulham 1-0 last weekend.

However, when asked whether he sees Arsenal as genuine Premier League title contenders, Wenger told beIN SPORTS: “Yes, without any hesitation.

“You might say that I say that every year, but I believe this year they are really equipped to deal with any problems.

“When they lost Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka last season, it was too much, but this year you have Madueke, Eze, Martinelli, and Trossard.

“At the back, they have Mosquera, down the flanks, and at the back, they have replacements. Lewis-Skelly doesn’t get in the team at the moment, and he is an England international.

“I think they have the most complete squad. Compare them with Liverpool, I watched them against Chelsea, and Szoboszlai was at right-back and Gravenberch was centre back. Arsenal would not be in that kind of position.”
