Rio Ferdinand, Manchester United legend,  has expressed doubt regarding England international Bukayo Saka’s claim that Arsenal is ‘in control’ of the Premier League title race against Manchester City.

The former England centre-back, on his YouTube channel, also labelled Pep Guardiola’s side a ‘beast’ amid the title race.

The Cityzens trails Mikel Arteta’s men with two points on the log after 17 games played so far.

“[Bukayo] Saka can’t really be saying, ‘Arsenal are in control [of this season’s EPL title race]’,” Ferdinand said.

“Not when you have that beast [Man] City hanging about. Only minutes before, City were above you [Arsenal].

“I hope Saka is right and Arsenal are thinking like that,” he said.
