West Ham manager, Nuno Espírito Santo, has hailed Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi, ahead of the Premier League clash.
He did this as they prepared for the big London derby game against Fulham, citing how Iwobi scored a really good goal during the match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Against Spurs, the Nigerian player scored in two Premier League matches in a row for the first time this season.
He scored a really good goal that helped Marco Silva’s team get three points.
With Fulham ahead thanks to Harry Wilson’s opener, Iwobi doubled the lead in the 37th minute, calmly curling a powerful strike into the net from outside the box with his instep.
Nuno Espírito Santo said that Fulham have always shown they are a tough team to play against.
“It’s part of our job to see all the games and I thought Fulham were very good,” he was quoted as saying by West Ham’s official webpage.
“They are a very good team. They’ve been showing it year after year. Marco Silva is doing an amazing job.
“He’s been there for a long time, and you can tell from the way things work and how they stick together that they’re a strong team.”
The Portuguese coach praised Iwobi, pointing to his goal against Tottenham as an example of his good skills.
“Alex Iwobi, the goal that he scored [against Tottenham]… they have so many talented players.”
