Former Liverpool and Barcelona man, Luis Suarez has told Arsenal fans not to expect too much from new striker Viktor Gyokeres.

According to him, the striker is not at the level Arsenal need him to be to lead their attack.

Suarez did not rule out the possibility of the former Sporting CP man becoming a great striker in the future, but believes that the 27-year-old attacker needs another season or two.

Speaking to a streamer, the legendary striker, who now plays for Inter Miami, said that Gyokeres was not at the top level yet.

“He still lacks the level. He’s good, but I think he still lacks the level… He’ll get there in a year or two,” he said.

DAILY POST reported that former Arsenal midfielder, Emmanuel Petit, recently said that the Gunners cannot win the Premier League title this season despite signing Gyokeres.

Petit told AS that Gyökeres and Martín Zubimendi, who joined the club this summer, still have to adapt to Arteta’s style.

Arsenal were defeated for the first time this season on Sunday when they fell 1-0 to Liverpool in the Premier League.
