Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that his team didn’t play their best against Manchester United.

Guardiola was reacting to Man City’s Premier League 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

The City boss watched as the Red Devils came from behind to beat the Cityzens at Etihad.

Joško Gvardiol put City in front in the first half.

But two second-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo gave Ruben Amorim’s side the victory.

“This year, many times, it’s happened. We give away many things against Feyenoord. We are not nice in the way we play. It was so fluid before and now we struggle for different reasons,” Guardiola said at his post-match press conference.

“We put everything in the game and it was almost closed except for one chance from Bruno.”

“Nothing special. We gave away the two goals. It is what it is. What can I say? It’s a tough season. We didn’t play our best because in some positions we are not our best.”
