Former Manchester United defender, Wes Brown, has criticized striker Benjamin Sesko after the Red Devils defeated Aston Villa 3-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.
Despite Sesko finding the net in the match at Old Trafford, Brown feels the 22-year-old Slovenian should have capitalized on additional opportunities after being introduced as a substitute in the second half.
Sesko came on for Bryan Mbeumo in the 77th minute, contributing to the team’s scoring alongside goals from Casemiro and Matheus Cunha, earning Manchester United all three points.
In his post-match comments on MUTV, Brown stated, “Great goals and fantastic from Bruno Fernandes. The vision, the pace of the ball, it is brilliant.
“That man, Sesko, got his goal. Also, I think he should have done better. He had another couple of great chances to score.”
