#Euro2024: Cristiano Ronaldo has every reason to cry – Adebayor

Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker, Emmanuel Adebayor has said that Cristiano Ronaldo has every reason to cry.

Recall that recently Ronaldo burst into tears after his Euro 2024 penalty miss against Slovenia.

The 34-year-old forward was visibly distraught after missing a penalty in the first half of Portugal’s Round of 16 fixture against Slovenia.

Speaking about the development, Adebayor, a former teammate of Ronaldo at Real Madrid, said (via the Al Nassr Zone):

“Kicking a penalty kick for your country is a great thing, the whole country is watching you, especially when your name is Ronaldo.

“Honestly, from an emotional point of view, Cristiano has every reason to cry. If you are not a footballer, you will not be able to understand,” he further stated.

Ronaldo will hope to lead Portugal to victory when they face France in the Euro 2024 last-8 clash on Friday.
