Nollywood actress Rita Edochie is mourning the death of a loved one.
On her Instagram page, the sister-in-law of Pete Edochie revealed that last Sunday evening turned a black one for her as she lost a dear one so close to her heart.
She said she didn’t predict the person’s death, and even in pain, she whispered It is well with her soul.
The proud supporter of May Edochie appreciated those who called and sent messages to her to know why she hasn’t been posting.
“Last Sunday evening turned black for me. I lost a dear one so close to my heart.
Even in pain, I whisper it is well with my soul.
This wasn’t seen coming.
I can’t thank you all enough who called and sent messages to know why I have not been posting. Thank you”.

Last month, actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola had lost someone close to her. Recalling how last conversation with the deceased, she said she couldn’t sleep, her heart was heavy, and the tears couldn’t stop falling. She said that the person’s death has pierced her heart so deeply, and her pictures are too beautiful and special to be uploaded with RIP.
In June, skitmaker, Kiekie, had lost a dear friend, Adepero Agbaje. She described the deceased as a sister as she declared June 6th, the worst day of her life. She noted how Adepero made her the godmother to her first child, unknowingly, that a day like this would come when she would have to become the child’s mother.
Joining her, Biola Bayo, said she would greatly miss the deceased as she prayed for God to comfort the deceased’s mother, husband, children and all her loved ones.
In other news, while mourning the death of popular plus-sized dancer, Chinelo Vivian Muomah, Rita questioned whether those who body-shamed the dancer, are happy over her demise. She added that they planted the insecurities, pushed her into a corner and in the end, she went in for a surgery she never returned from.
