Prof. Christopher Ogiehor, father-in-law of the expelled candidate for governor of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state of Edo, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, has been cruelly murdered in the capital Benin.

Ogiehor, 80, an orthopaedic surgeon, the medical director of Benin’s city hospital, was murdered in his residence: No. 13, Egbor Avenue in the Government Reservation Area (GRA) in the state capital.

The deceased was found dead in his home in the early hours of Thursday morning, with his head broken and his hands tied.

Chidi Nwabuzor, a deputy chief of police (DSP), confirmed the murder by telephone, but added that the investigation into the insidious act was still ongoing.
