Bruno Fernandes restored parity for Man United in the 33rd minute via a penalty.
However, Gundogan scored again in the 51st minute to ensure Man City defeated Man United to win the FA Cup.
The FA Cup trophy is Man City’s second major trophy this season after winning the Premier League title last month.
The Citizens will now shift their attention to the Champions League final later this month, where they will face Inter Milan.
