Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that midfielder Nico O’Reilly will play in his side’s FA Cup semi-final fixture against Nottingham Forest in April.

Guardiola said this after Man City’s FA Cup quarter-final 2-1 win against Bournemouth on Sunday.

He said O’Reilly’s impact for the Cityzens against Bournemouth was outstanding.

Recall that two goals from Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush gave Guardiola’s side the victory over Bournemouth.

The Premier League champions will now face Nottingham Forest, who defeated Brighton via a penalty shootout.

“Nico scored two goals against Plymouth, and his impact today was outstanding,” Guardiola told ITV.

“He is going to play in the semi-final for sure!”

Man City’s next game is against Leicester City in the Premier League on Wednesday.
