Fans of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo raised alarms over her safety after an overly enthusiastic admirer approached her during Tanzanian singer Juma Jux’s concert.
The Lagos show, which was sold out, featured Iyabo Ojo as a guest while Juma Jux took the stage to celebrate his wife, the mother of their son Rakeem, showering her with affection in front of the audience.
While observing the scene from the back, Iyabo Ojo was approached by an obsessed fan. The man prostrated before her as a greeting, prompting the actress to help him up. He requested a hug, which she gave, and then asked for another receiving it as well. Shockingly, he then proceeded to kiss her repeatedly, reportedly around 1,500 times.
During the encounter, the fan addressed Iyabo Ojo as “Aunty Mi,” and claimed he had fulfilled a promise to kiss her multiple times before being escorted away.
The clip sparked concern among fans, especially after Iyabo Ojo’s colleague, Funke Akindele, had recently visited her. Many jokingly questioned whether the fan’s proximity posed a risk due to body odor, while others feared he could physically harm the actress.
